1. WestCord Hotel Eindhoven - Eindhoven
Where better to find a design overnight stay than in the artistic city of Eindhoven? WestCord Hotel Eindhoven is located in the historic lighthouse, this tower was part of the former Philips factory. Even more fun when you know that Eindhoven's nickname is light city! Years ago, the very first light bulbs were developed and tested here. At the hotel, besides the unique style, you can still admire the remaining elements of the Lichttoren, such as the concrete walls. This gives the hotel an authentic atmosphere. The hotel therefore describes itself as a combination of art, history and design.
You must be curious about the sleeping quarters. Understandably so, as each room has its own style and atmosphere. Above all, the rooms are fully equipped and you can enjoy luxury and tranquillity here. If you do want to go out, visit Strijp-S, the design area of Eindhoven. Staying in this design hotel in the Netherlands is an authentic and unforgettable stay that perfectly matches the atmosphere of the city.
In this blog, honeyguide Yalou shares seven tips on what to do in Eindhoven.

4. Mother Goose - Utrecht
We stay in the same city for a while, because there is another gem of a design hotel here. Mother Goose is a hotel with a far-reaching, rich history. The building is part of the former Ubica properties and also appeared to have been a city castle. Many elements of this original building can still be seen in the rooms. This ensures that the hotel is full of surprises that I will keep secret for now, so you can go and discover them for yourself.
Furthermore, the hotel excels in hospitality and you will certainly notice this during the welcome. Mother Goose welcomes you with open arms and experience all inspiring stories for yourself!

7. Hotel indigo - The Hague
From the north, we head west again. Hotel Indigo in The Hague, a boutique hotel where you would rather not leave the hotel during your stay. Both inside and outside, you can recognise the high level of luxury. The architecture of the building is beautiful. But the decor is also stylish and authentic. It is as if you imagine yourself in another world. So the design hotel is an experience in itself. The luxury is also reflected in the lovely rooms, especially the almost wellness-worthy bathroom.
8. Crane Hotel Faralda - Amsterdam
Our capital Amsterdam also has many boutique and design hotels, so it's no surprise that it is called one of the design cities of Europe. But this hotel is a very special one! Here you will find the perfect balance between luxury and originality. An overnight stay at Crane Hotel Faralda is a memorable experience. You will even find a Spa overlooking Amsterdam.

8. The Dylan - Amsterdam
Afraid of heights and still want to keep both feet on the ground? No problem, Amsterdam has a lot to offer. So too with less expensive price tags. Hotel Not Hotel is one of my favourites, an extraordinary boutique hotel in Amsterdam West. With Hotel Not Hotel's design, you won't get bored. Each room tells its own story and is designed by Collaboration-O, a group of young designers from Eindhoven.

Van Rossum is a unique city hotel, café and restaurant housed in the Arsenaal, a robust national monument in Woerden's historic town centre. This medieval fortified town is ideally centrally located in the Green Heart of Holland, close to larger cities such as Utrecht and Amsterdam, and since 2014 has been home to a unique boutique hotel with 25 characteristic rooms. This design hotel carries the Green Key Hallmark for sustainable hotel chains, which means (H)honest sleeping.

Are you ready for a weekend at the beach? Then this hotel is the perfect location for your overnight stay in a luxurious, yet small and personal boutique hotel. It is a place where you can completely relax and enjoy nature. From here, you can quickly reach the beach and get a breath of fresh air in the dunes. A nice extra is that the hotel rents out designer bikes so you can explore the area in a unique way. When you stay at this hotel, you will see that the interior has been put together with the greatest care. This way, you can fully enjoy the cosy atmosphere and the spacious, luxurious rooms.
11. Hotel STATE - Haarlem
Finally, I would like to conclude with Hotel Staats, which can definitely be considered a boutique hotel. In fact, the hotel and its furnishings were developed by a design specialist. You will certainly notice this during a visit by all the special details, such as the small and colourful tiles on the bar. You can also feast your eyes in the hotel room, while enjoying the luxury. Also be sure to visit the restaurant, as here you can look straight into the kitchen where young people are trained to become catering professionals.
