In Nordic, you are surrounded by the cosy atmosphere of a Scandinavian interior. At Like Then, you experience what it is like to live in a tiny house, completely decorated with vintage furniture, exactly like.... back then.

You wake up to the wind rustling the leaves and the birds chirping in the trees. Nothing is nicer than sitting on the veranda with a cup of coffee, watching the curious bunnies in the garden. After breakfast, it's time to hit the road. You choose a special cycling or walking route from one of the booklets waiting for you in the cottage. Don't feel like doing anything active? The veranda is the perfect place to disappear into your book.

Even in winter, it is lovely to spend a weekend in the cottage. The wood-burning stove allows you to sit on the sofa with a rug, enjoying a mug of hot chocolate (with whipped cream). Who knows, you might even wake up in a snow-covered winter wonderland?

Deep in a private forest near the Veluwe is a fairytale cottage called The Gingerbread House. An ideal place to spend the night with a few more - up to seven - people. Visit Zelfpluktuin Groenhof and pick strawberries, berries and wild flowers. All the fruit is grown organically and sustainably, but beware: gone=out. The owners also make their own jam from their grown fruit, definitely worth a look in the garden shop.

Another great tip for the horse girls and boys among us: horseback riding on the widest beach in Europe! So you can cross something off your bucket list. Close to the cottage you will find several routes along cranberry fields and right through the dunes. How cool is that?
