There is no shortage of unusual art places and original eateries in this pearl of Brabant. In this blog, I share seven tips on what to do in Eindhoven. Travel south with me?
1. MU Hybrid Art House - Discover the hybrid art of MU
A visit to MU gives you an immediate sense of how progressive Eindhoven is. MU is a self-proclaimed Hybrid Art House that is constantly looking for the future forms of art. This manifests itself in crazy musical projects, exhibitions, new media forms and design. You will find this creative hotspot in a former Philips factory in the Strijp-S district.
2. PHOOD Kitchen - Own aquaponic farm
PHOOD Kitchen is all about local food combined with new technologies. The restaurant has its own aquaponic urban farm, where they grow their own vegetables. The menu is devised with dishes focused on plants, herbs, vegetables and colour. They work with a varying plant-to-plate menu, so you literally see what you eat!
3. Hotel Mariënhage - Sleep well in Eindhoven
Right in the centre of Eindhoven, you can sleep well at Boutique Hotel Mariënhage. A beautiful hotel located in the monumental building of the Augustinian monastery. Here you will sleep in a mix of religious history and modern design.Good night!

6. Entrepreneurs at Strijp-S - Art to take home
If you would like a physical reminder of creative Eindhoven, take a look at Strijp-S. There you will find, among other things, Vilt en Meer, a shop full of handmade interior items made from natural materials. Or drop by Yksi Expo, a platform where circular designs and sustainable technology meet. You will also find a zero-waste shop and art loan, among other things.
