Special nature cottage in Limburg

For my staycation, I was allowed to spend two nights in a beautiful Panorama Dome nature cottage in Ven- Zelderheide, Limburg. A nature cottage including delicious breakfast! This nature cottage, close to the German border, is located at Parc Buitengewoon. A former exhibition garden.

Especially when the raindrops fall on the Panorma Dome, the romantic picture is complete if you ask me. At that moment, I did miss a mate for a moment but at the same time, I secretly enjoyed the thought that I get to decide what to do in the coming days. Especially in such a place, I can appreciate spending the days alone. I ended the day with a lovely warm hot tub! This can be optionally booked.

The next day, I wake up to birds singing and see the first rays of sunlight carefully break through the clouds. Although I found the raindrops very romantic, I am more of the sun's rays during the day. Not long after, my breakfast is served. And with my stomach well-filled, I set off to explore the surroundings on an E-chopper, which you can rent at Parc Buitengewoon.

My plan is to go to Jachtslot Mookerheide. This is about 48 km from Parc Buitengewoon, which I did not know at the time. Ambitiously, I take a seat on my E-chopper. The route takes me all the way through the beautiful Groesbeek forest.

Once I arrive at the Jachtslot, I find the building in scaffolding; restoration work started this year. Pity about the view but the estate has plenty of other hidden gems; such as a park forest and gardens. And nature reserve Mookerheide is easily accessible on foot from there. Although it was even more fun on the E-chopper as far as I'm concerned!

What is so great about spending the night in a nature cottage? Well, I can tell you that it is a very unique experience. The best thing about sleeping in a nature cottage is that you can do everything at your own pace. Nothing is compulsory, everything is allowed. The combination of little stimuli, nature and the specialness of such a place makes it pleasant. You get a real boost of energy from this.
