Hey, I'm Liselotte
With my camera in hand and a good dose of curiosity, I travel the world. Sometimes far away, sometimes just in my own country. I consciously choose destinations that are not in every travel guidebook, or, on the contrary, go in well-known cities in search of places where less people visit. Because I have learned that the best memories are often created by accident. When you deviate from the well-trodden paths, sometimes you come across places that stay with you the most.

Positive impact criteria
My favourite criterion is Equality because everyone should feel welcome. In travel, but also in a place where you live and work. Inclusiveness makes any environment richer. I think Cultural Preservation is important because traditions, crafts and historical sites tell valuable stories about a country, a city or a community.

Coffee bar Rocking Chair
In the heart of Utrecht you will find Rocking Chair, a coffee shop located in a former money bank. Here you can enjoy delicious coffee and homemade treats such as vegan cake, banana bread and fresh lemon cake. The café exudes warmth with an atmospheric vintage interior, complete with an iconic rocking chair. The old vault has been converted into a cosy playroom for children.

Meeting point Brandpunt
The lush Botanical Gardens are located on the edge of the Utrecht Science Park. Here you can hear the sound of splashing water and buzzing insects, and stand among hundreds of flowers and plants. The Botanical Gardens belong to Utrecht University and are among the oldest existing university gardens in the Netherlands.

Restaurant BEUM
In the middle of the forest near Dorst, in the barn of a former forester's house, restaurant BEUM is located. BEUM is also a learning/working project for people with a learning disability or mental disability. They are happy to cater to you with their passion for the hospitality industry. Restaurant BEUM has its own garden with vegetables and herbs, which are used in the dishes on the seasonal menu.
