Fort Spion is part of the Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie, one of our country's main lines of defence. Nowadays, you can also spend the night at this historic site. Stay at the small-scale campsite, located between the Vecht and the Loosdrecht lakes. Not a fan of camping? Then stay in the bombproof guardhouse. This is the room where officers used to stay with a powder store and a projectile magazine.
