Behind this door is a hidden church from the 16th century, which Honeyguide Cathe tells you all about in this blog. This is where the Catholic had to hold their services in secret, because the Protestants had taken over the Grote Bavo church in the market square during the Reformation.

Why you really want to visit this place

Often, if you ask people in Haarlemmermeer on the street if they know what's behind the door, they will probably not. This meant that it was at least an effective hideaway church, because from the outside you wouldn't tell that the building looked exactly like a church on the inside.
