Taking the cable car up the mountain leaves the hustle and bustle of Andermatt behind you at once. At the top, you walk along a short panoramic route where the snow crunches under your shoes and the views constantly demand attention. The route takes about 1 hour, but no rush, just fresh air and white mountain peaks. And if the snow turns out to be just a little too deep, taking a break with something warm is at least as good a plan.
