About this hidden gem

Within the historic walls of a former nunnery and weapons cache (hence the name), you can enjoy pure, honest Dutch cuisine at Het Arsenaal 1309.

Why you really want to visit this place

Natural, honest, pure. Knowing how the animals lived, and knowing where and how your vegetables were grown. That is what Arsenal 1309 stands for. Following the principles of Dutch Cuisine, all dishes are prepared with ingredients that they source as much as possible from close by. Beer from Doesburg, cheese from Zevenaar, unsprayed vegetables from their own vegetable garden and eggs from their own chickens.
