Lighthouse Island
Restaurant
About this hidden gem
A unique restaurant on a remote, uninhabited and rugged island in the Markermeer.
Why you really want to visit this place
Eating at Vuurtoreneiland is no ordinary night out in Amsterdam but more of an adventurous mini-holiday. Vuurtoreneiland is a unique piece of nature in its own city and consists of a winter and summer restaurant. In a rugged landscape, you will find stray animals, rare flora, a ruined fort and Amsterdam's only lighthouse. Located in the Markermeer near Durgerdam, Vuurtoreneiland can only be reached by boat. The boat trip there and back, including dinner takes about 5 hours.
