About this hidden gem
At Grandma's Soup they sell soup with a good story. The elderly are becoming increasingly lonely, especially in these uncertain times. The goal of Grandma's Soup is to bring young and old together throughout the Netherlands, with the sustainable side effect of wasting less food.
Why you really want to visit this place
At Oma's Soep, they want to waste as little food as possible. That is why they collect leftover vegetables from different branches. The fresh vegetables are purchased from wholesalers and local farmers.
This is how they (and you) make a difference
- aim to combat loneliness among the elderly
- try to waste as little food as possible
- connecting the elderly and young people
