Mürren is a car-free mountain village at 1650 metres.
Why you really want to visit this place
As soon as you arrive here, you really just want to walk around. Past wooden chalets, along quiet streets and always with views of snow-capped mountain peaks. The village feels uncluttered and cosy, but the views are grand: wherever you look you see mountains. In winter, you can also sled or take a short walk here, without it feeling crowded or massive. It's one of those places where you automatically slow down, just to take in the view for a moment.
