The Lutterzand is a vast nature area of juniper bushes, pine forests, heathland, sand drifts and the ancient river Dinkel. Relax in this unique nature reserve.

Why you really want to visit this place

The little river Dinkel that meanders through the Lutterzand is still one of the few in the Netherlands that has retained its original character. The river's course meanders strongly, causing deep incisions in the soil. At some points, you look out over the meandering Dinkel, the sandy plains and meadows from the several-metre-high bank. Because of its special landscape, the nature reserve was designated an Earth Historical Monument in 2007.
